In search of the rediscovery of natural sound, Voxativ has gone one step further.
With respect to the old Voigt, Jensen and Klangfilm drivers, this type of transducer is now reviewed using a completely new technology. The AC-X is driven by a large field coil instead of a permanent magnet. With this magnetic force, the driver reaches the physical maximum and an extreme dynamic performance.
The AC-X has a Qts between 0.25 and 0.6 depending on the supply voltage which can be set from 6 to 18 volts. It enables the user to adjust the driver to all installation conditions and playback requirements. 12V is recommended. Please use our highend power supplies with this driver. Switching power supplies give a limited sound.
The field coil is implemented in a housing made of low carbon steel. In this way a leakage field is prevented and the efficiency increases. With an excursion of 10 mm a powerful bass reproduction down to 25Hz is possible.
For dipol loudspeakers or front horn cabinets the AC-X is also an excellent choice - please ask us for free housing blueprints.
