I am selling my beloved Elliott Tonemaster because I just picked up an Elliott James Duke 357 and unfortunately don't have the funds to keep both. This guitar is serial number 111 and has the upgraded sparkle black paint scheme and tortoise shell pickguard. It's my understanding that both of the options cost extra when ordering direct from Andy and the original retail price was $5k with an approximate 18 month wait time. It will come with the original hardshell case and COA. I purchased this guitar used a year ago, so I believe I am the second owner. The guitar is in excellent condition and has typical surface scratches for a glossy black paint. The only minor blemish is a small area on the back of the guitar where the paint has a slight haze to it. It was like this when I received it a year ago and is only noticeable if you hold it up to the light at a certain angle. Below are a few specs about the guitar.Specs:Body Wood = Hand Selected Alder "The wood is selected first and has to meet certain size and grain characteristics to assure all bodies are glued in the same manner, with an offset glue joint at the bottom bout of the guitar. This maintains consistency from one guitar to the next. The upper bout is contoured for a very comfortable feel. The species of wood used for this guitar body is Alder." (Copied from the Elliot Guitars website)Neck Wood = Flatsawn Solid Maple Fingerboard Wood = Indian RosewoodNeck Details = Traditional Clay Marking Dots, Custom Side Dots & Nitro FinishNeck Shape = Feels like a Medium C Type Profile with a 9.5" Radius (I pulled the radius dimension online)Neck Scale = 25.5"Nut Width = Appx. 1-11/16" (These are typical specs that I pulled online, but I still need to measure to verify)Fretting = Guitar is Plek'd to ensure excellent intonation. "Our fretwork is one of the things we are most proud of. We go to the extreme to make sure that your guitar is going to play the best it can. The fingerboard is planed under tension. The fretting process is done with epoxy fretting. We use a special blend of epoxy that makes re-fretting very easy without messing up your fingerboard. This process is used for multiple reasons. One of the advantages to this type of fretting is that you lose the hollow gaps under the fret that you find with the traditional way of fretting. In traditional fretting, with each fret you put on, it is like driving a wedge into the fingerboard, which causes back tension on the neck. With epoxy fretting, all of these issues are eliminated. The epoxy under the frets helps to transfer string vibration throughout the neck to the body, and relieves all stress and tension on the neck that occurs with traditional fretting. This results in a stress-free neck, which allows the truss rod to work properly and to adjust the neck accurately."
