On offer today is a 1965 made Hofner Verithin. This is one of the last Verithin's made so perhaps the youngest model you can get. The Verithin was Hofner's answer to Gibson's ES 330 although thinner in the body and very much lighter in weight.This guitar is a Bigsby model but I took it off as the guitar felt out of balance and went out of tune. I was able to replace the Bigsby with a genuine Hofner tail piece. Unlike the earlier models this guitar has a truss rod.The guitar has been fully set up by a Hofner loving Luthier and is in full working order, everything works so all you need to do is pick it up an play. The guitar is in excellent condition only one or two dings that have been repaired. The frets are fine and the neck straight and plays clearly high up the register. There is some warring of the lacquer at the back of the neck in the first position but that is common with Verithin's.All in all a great guitar that is comfortable to play with a unique sound.If you would like to try the guitar I am easy to find junction 18 on the M25.
