Up for sale is a horn from my personal collection. This is a 1957, 69,xxx, Selmer mark vi tenor sax with matching neck. This sax is a very special player and I wasn't anticipating parting with it however I find myself playing mostly the horn that I'm most used to and I don't want to see an incredible player sit and collect dust. What I can tell you us that out of my 3 tenors, this horn by far has the best tone of them all. Ive just bonded Alitalia but to my other tenors so I prefer to play them. This horn has a rich core but can play very punchy when called upon. It really has a fat core to the sound. So much complexity and beautiful harmonics. Sound clips will be posted shortly. This sax has room pads that have Aton of life left in them and the action is smooth and buttery. The altissimo is really locked in on this horn and plays with ease. 50% or so of the original laq. Remains and the body is over all very straight. It looks to have 3 resolders on post reset but nothing significant. There was also a neck pick up removed from the neck at one point and it was a great job and very clear and flush- you. Annoy tell it was ever there. It will be shipped in an older Walt Johnson case. Very special player that will impress at any level plus it has that total players vibe kinda look that I personally love!
