All Gold Tone instruments are hand set up right here in the US. These are fully set up one at a time and not just "lot inspected" like the big manufacturers do it. This assures that your instrument has a straight neck , great action superb playability, and great tone from day one. Compared to a normal mandolin, our mando banjo is louder and has the quick response typical of a banjo body. The MB-850+ features an 11” body compared to our original 8”. This dramatically improves volume and bass response. The brass tone ring projects loud volume and our setup compares to that of professional man- dolins.
