- 4 bass strings -very well playable and in very good condition, expecially for its age of nearly 90 years !there are 2 short thin well repaired hairline cracks at the top below the bridge, please see photovarnish at the headstock is slightly "crackled" which makes a great patinaneck is 100% straight, string action very low, no fretwearnylon strings----------------all solid woods: spruce top with wooden and celluloide bindingback and sides from flamed maple removable neck, originally ebonized, flat neck profile free floating fretboard from rosewoodebony bridge-------------
