Artley 72S Wood Clarinet. Dealer in store demo-ed. Intermediate instrument.When your student is ready to move up to wood but you're not ready for Buffet prices, go American brand & consider Artley from the Conn-Selmer Company. Wood has a slightly larger bore from the beginner plastic models which may require a little more breath support. It will give a bigger sound which is "warmed" by the wood body. Wood instruments are not recommended for marching, so keep your beginner instrument for marching band & use the wood instrument for concert band or orchestra.Wood clarinets should have bore oiled about once each year. I could have local shop professional do this before shipping. I have 2 of these clarinets. Buy both, play both, select one, & return one for credit (you pay shipping). Contact me for more details.
