Fender Ford Mustang Sonoran SCE Acoustic Electric Guitar with Hard Shell Case
In the Fall of 2008, Ford Motor Company partnered with Fender to produce a special limited-edition 45th Anniversary Mustang Fender Acoustic Guitar. The launch of this guitar coincided with the release of the 2009 Ford Mustang, which celebrates its 45th anniversary on April 17, 2009. The 45th Anniversary Mustang guitar is based on Fender's California edition Sonoran acoustic/electric guitar. As such, the guitar can be played as a stand-alone acoustic or it can be plugged into an electric guitar amp. It touts a classic Stratocaster headstock with a c-shaped maple neck and features a top made of solid spruce. It also touts white dot inlays, a rosewood fingerboard, and a polyurethane finish. Special features of the anniversary guitar include an orange and yellow colored running horse prominently featured on the guitar's top as well as "45th Anniversary" graphics on the guitar's headstock. The flip side of the headstock features the Ford logo. Most noticeable is the word MUSTANG in cursive writing featured at the bottom of the guitar's top. This limited edition guitar, of which only 300 were made. The guitar has been played very seldom and was mainly a display piece. Guitar Stand not included but you get a great hard shell case. Please excuse any odd reflections in the photos, but the body is so shiny it's like a mirror.
