If you are viewing this listing, you likely have an idea of what this powerful guitar can do. Each fret is separated into 6 individual segments corresponding to each string. When you press the string to the fret, the connection is made and the organ is triggered. The organ on this one is loaded with filters and sounds giving tons of sound possibilities (This is unlike later models that had a much simplified organ component).Unlike most Guitorgans offered for sale, this one works! Every organ switch works. Every one. There has been one modification on this model which is brilliant: The original model used a foot pedal to control the volume of the organ. The previous owner co-opted one of the tone pots to make it a volume control for the organ. It works great. The remaining tone pot has been connected to both pick-ups. If you still want to control the volume of the organ separately, you can. The organ has a separate ¾ output that can routed to any volume pedal. I use a Y adapter (included) to marry both the guitar and organ output into a single lead going to the amp.The guitar itself is strong as well. It is a Ventura knock-off of a Gibson Barney Kessel. At one time there was a “Guitorgan” plastic nameplate glued over the Ventura logo. It has been lost to history. The specs for the guitar and the pick-ups match very closely to the Gibson. The action on the guitar is low, intonation is good, and the pickups sound great. It's a great player even when not using the organ. Finish shows less aging than would be expected.Even more goodies! The original case, manual, and wiring schematics are included. I have never seen one for sale with all of these.Please contact me if you have any questions or want a Skype preview.
