THIS IS ONE OF BEST FINISHED MANDOLINS TO COME OUT OF THE GIBSON LAWSUIT ERA. MOST OF THEM STAYED IN JAPAN OR WENT TO EUROPE. AS YOU CAN SEE IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. NO FRET WEAR. THIS MANDOLIN WAS BUILT IN THE SAME AREA OF JAPAN AS THE KENTUCKY 1500. MORRIS IS ALSO NOTED FOR BUILDING D 28 AND D 41 STYLED GUITARS. I AM KEEPING MY MF 1000 MANDOLIN AND MORRIS D 28. I CONDITIOND THE MANDOLIN WITH MY TONE RITE AND IT OPEND UP NICELY. THERE ARE 2 BLEMISHES ON THE BACK 1 SCRATCH WHICH IS NOT THROUGH THE FINISH AND ONE CLOUDY SPOT FROM BEING IN THE CASE (SEE THE LAST 2 PICTURES ). THE PICKGARD HAS DETERIORATED BUT THE MOUNT IS INCLUDED IT IS TIME TO THIN THE HERD SO IT HAS TO GO. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTEDNOTE: THE STRINGS WILL BE DE-TUNED FOR SHIPPING.
