This is a very nice Buffet Crampon R13 clarinet in the key of A, produced in 1974 during the 'golden years' of the R13s. The serial number is 147483.Produced at the end of what is often considered the Golden Age of the Buffet R13 models, spanning from 1965 and 1974 (some say 1979), makes this one of those delightful models which is often considered superior to the new R13s, which , new. While I'd be thrilled to receive that amount, it isn't how eBay works. So, a fine deal for you to pick up on eBay.So, why am I selling it? Well, though this particular one plays very well, I've not really needed it in the last few years since I'm no longer playing with an orchestra. This was last really played with an orchestra in Winnipeg in the mid 2000's. So it is time to pass it on to someone who'll let it sing again. The entire clarinet is in good shape with nearly no tarnish on the keys and a great sound. The corks and pads are in good shape. There is a small surface blemish on the bell (see last photo) which doesn't affect the sound. If you have any questions or need additional pictures, please let me know.
