The Martin Shenandoah D-2832 is a dreadnought style acoustic with a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The rosewood gives the tone a more complex, refined edge than other woods. The neck is made of mahogany and has a rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. The neck has a soft V shape that is very comfortable for many different styles of playing. The tuners are Martins. The white binding highlights the classic look of Martin dreadnoughts. This great sounding dreadnought exudes the warmth we associate with Martin. It has great projection and clarity, and it's very responsive to playing dynamics. This is one of those acoustics that turns your fingers into tone controls. The low end is bold and full and the mids are crisp and sweet. The neck is comfortable everywhere and won't slow you down. The neck is straight,the frets are very nice and the recent light gauge elixir strings are set reasonably low with plenty of room left in the saddle. There are NO cracks,breaks or repairs to this guitar.The guitar has a nice warm and woody balanced tone.It projects well.The original electronics are the earliest Martin pickup system,the thinline 332.This is a good sounding under the bridge transducer that is wired straight to the input jack with no other controls. The pickup sounds great through both PA and Acoustic Amp. Crisp and Clean. The guitar has surface wear such as pick marks, swirl marks, and small dings. In this seller's humble opinion the wear on this guitar gives it an awesome vintage look. All wear is in the finish/cosmetics and in no way affects the sound or playability of this cool vintage guitar. Dreadnought Body
