Yamaha SG 510 (1984, Black)Selling off from my Elite Vintage Guitars collection my Yamaha SGs, so here on offer a vintage 1980s rare Yamaha SG 510. Great electric guitar with a good solid feel, despite the fair weight, it plays light and fluid and has been set up with low action....The guitar is approx 35 years old, all original and despite its age and has some genuine patina and play wear, and has a definite vintage vibe and oozing mojo.
These Yamahas were made during the Yamaha SG explosion in the early 1980s and were available in either translucent red, blue or black. These are good solid guitars and had a cult following, some music videos from that time, show Andy Taylor of Duran Duran sporting a black Yamaha SG510 and Dave Stewart of the Tourists (later the Eurythmics wkith Annie Lennox) sporting a Black Yamaha SG600. However, these were less well known than the Yamaha SG 2000 and SG 1000. However, anyone who wants a Yamaha SG and does not want to fork out a "Kings Ransom" will be pleasantly surprised by this guitar. Postage reflects shipping cost and shipping insurance.
