Here I have available a 1974 Burgundy Gibson ES345 TDSV Thin Line Double Pick Up Stereo Varitone. S/N 872757. Made in USA stamped. Purple label. One of the last from Kalamazoo. This exceptionally clean 43 year old vintage classic is dead set all original from it's Kluson Tuners to it's Trapeze Tailpiece. The three piece neck is arrow straight and features double parallelogram inlays on a rosewood fingerboard with original frets that have well over 95% life left. An action to die for, comfortable, low and easy, lightening fast. Two patent # humbuckers which hooked up with the Varitone Selector punch out a mother load on tone selections accompanied by acoustic overtones. Many of the greats have an ES345TDSV in their weaponry, once you play one you know why. In many opinions they are the under sung hero of semi acoustics. Cosmetically it is a good 9/10. The gold hardware has aged majestically and has varying degrees of patina complimenting the burgundy finish. The binding is in excellent condition with a slight shade of yellowing highlighting it's vintage age. The Burgundy lacquer finish has not faded or checked. Dings or dents are almost non existent likewise with buckle rash which is very light and has not penetrated the top lacquer. This vintage tone monster has lived a very sheltered life, unplayed for most of it being held in storage as part of a collection. I am it's second owner. A new owner will not be unhappy, there is no comparison once you have a vintage instrument in your hands, you don't want to put them down. Finding them in this condition is not a common event, like finding rocking horse sh*t or chicken's teeth. It comes with an old non original Epiphone hard case which is in clean, near new condition.My instruments are available through other resources so may be withdrawn from listing.
