T series Japanese tele, puts it's production at 94-95. Fantastic overall condition with a couple very useful modifications: 5 way switch = normal bridge or neck pickup isolated at each end. The middle 3 positions are both pickups together in series, parallel, or out of phase. Each position has a very different tone, lots of variety on top of all the classic telecaster sounds. No load tone pot = notched spot when turned all the way up that removes the tone pot from the signal path so you get just the straight pickup sound. Compensated brass saddles = intonation is darn near perfect on all strings. There is only one little dent on the top near the ashtray bridge, only noticeable when the light hits it certain ways. Took a lot of tries to get it to show up in a photo - did my best.
Other than that, this thing is in sweet shape. It does not show it's age. Now before you get too excited, this does not have a real flame maple neck or top. This is the Foto Flame finish. How it's been explained to me is that there is a thin translucent overlay put on the wood to give it that appearance, and then it is finished over. I've looked at it very closely over the years (this has been my main guitar for the last 10 years), and I really can't tell the difference between this and the real thing except for the label on the back of the headstock telling me so. Maybe you could, I don't know - it's a great and convincing finish. The pictures tell a lot of the story. It's pretty for sure, but it's a player's guitar. Quality standard tele tones plus the 2 additional sounds - one like a meaty humbucker, and the other like it's coming through an AM radio - perfect for funk. That's the scoop. I'll do my best to answer any questions you have honestly and in a timely fashion.
I'll ship it in a basic gig bag to help protect the finish and pack it well. The stand is not included. I set the shipping cost at a flat rate so you know clearly what the total expense will be. If it costs more I'll cover the difference, if it costs less I'll refund you the difference. I'll send it to anywhere in the lower 48 States. Happy bidding!
