1977 Fender StratocasterUp for bid is a beautiful 1977 Fender Stratocaster in 3 color sunburst with a rosewood neck. The guitar is original with the exception of the following. It has been re-fretted and now has medium jumbo frets and a flatter fret radius. It has the bent "S" style Fender replacement saddles on it because I think they sound better...the original (027037's) are included. The pickups and pots are original but they've been out of the guitar when it had other pickups in it. All I'm saying is the wiring is not untouched. There are no routs, cutaways or other funny business under the pickguard. It's an incredible player. This one has tone for days! Great sustain. It's fairly light, tipping the scales at 7.5 lbs. The bridge has been hardtailed and screwed down tight with 5 springs...easily reversible. It's had a recent pro setup and bone nut and plays fantastic for my style. It's strung with Ernie Ball power slinky 11-48's.The case may or may not be original to this guitar. It came with the guitar when I bought it many years ago but it's black inside and most 77-78's I've seen came with orange insides. If you're looking for a collectors piece or case queen...this is probably not the one for you. On the other hand if you actually play your guitars and care about tone, then this one rocks!Look at the pictures and please ask any questions before bidding. I'm not guitar center...there will be no returns. We ship worldwide. The winning bidder will pay shipping and insurance.
