Vintage 1959 Gibson ES-345. Comes with the original brown Lifton case.Guitar has had a professional headstock repair, extremely well done, many years ago, Pickups were originally double-white PAFs, which were removed by a previous owner - I installed early gold (sealed cover, never opened) patent sticker humbuckers from another vintage ES-335 (these will be the early patent sticker pickups, with the plain enamel wire, same as the late PAFs). The guitar has also been wired mono, with the varitone removed. The tuners have been replaced with old gold '60s Grovers. I am not 100% sure about whether the pots are original - they might be, but I don't know for sure. Aside from these things, the guitar is 100%, and plays and sounds like a dream. Action is low, playability is excellent, and intonation is great.Other than the headstock repair, no other breaks or repairs or issues of any kind. Expected wear to the fretboard around the first few frets. Various nicks and dings here and there, throughout the guitar, as you would expect for a vintage 1959 Gibson. All other parts are original vintage '50s: no-wire ABR-1, lightweight tailpiece, long pickguard, knobs, Lifton case, etc.. The handle on the case has been replaced. Neck thickness measures approximately 0.84 inches at the 1st fret mark. About 0.91 inches at the 12th fret. I would describe it as a medium, transitional, late 1959 neck profile - not the really big early '59 type, but not thin '60 type. This guitar is a late '59 with a '59 FON (Factory Order Number).I measured the pickups exactly, before they were installed on this guitar:Neck: 8.18Bridge: 7.71The pickups came out of a very early '66 ES-345 with '65 pot codes. These pickups are 100% original and untouched, with the original soldered gold covers never off. As we know, the gold late-PAF-spec (plain enamel wire) patent sticker humbuckers continued on ES-345s into 1967 - so, these are truly the "good ones," literally identical to the late PAFs.Shipping will be $200, via UPS ground (includes insurance). I will *only* ship this guitar within the USA. Sorry, no buyers outside the USA. Sorry, no returns. Thanks for looking! -John (732 221 9009)
