This is my take on a "D" Overdrive Special amplifier -- Robben Ford's #102 amp.  It is a true 100-watts using 4 6L6 power tubes.  There are both original tonal features and some I've added.  Most unusual is that the single-tube effects buffer is built directly into the amp so one of the Master Volumes is actually the Return control.  There is a three-button footswitch that controls the preamp-boost, overdrive and mid-boost.The power and output transformers were custom wound for this and I had the chassis laser cut and welded out of 1/8" aluminum.  The cab is dovetailed oak with a walnut face panel.  I built this tubes-up for better heat dissipation.  4, 8 and 16 ohm selector switch. The amp is loud, heavy and robust.  It prefers 12" British or heavy-magnet US speakers.  I built this as my ultimate amp but don't play out much and never in places where I need a beast like this.  With so many tonal choices, sound-checks can take a while until you learn where you like the settings.
The Preamp Boost, Overdrive and Mid Boost are controlled by the included footswitch.  The FX Send control and the FX Send and Return jacks are on the back of the amp.  I have a fuller description of the controls and features but it won't fit here.  Contact me if you want a copy.
Describing all the switches and knobs would take a full page -- although some of them were added to the original design to make the amp more Strat-friendly.  Contact me with specific questions about the circuitry and controls or a more thorough description.  Generally, these later generation models favor buckers and Tele's.  If you are looking for something unique, listen to some of Robben's tracks on YouTube.  This isn't exactly like that but you'll get a flavor of the capabilities.  I'm an experience amplifier builder and this is probably my last of ten-or-so in this family of amps.  If you know the breed, you know most designer builds go for three times my starting price.  If you are in Western North Carolina, you can save some shipping and pick it up here.
PayPal only.  I've priced shipping for the lower 48 states but am glad to send it to Alaska, Hawaii or US possessions at actual cost.  International is fine too through the Ebay process.
Apologies:  Just one; the faceplates are adhesive vinyl.  I never got around to having permanent plates made.  Vinyl works pretty well for prototypes but it scuffs easily.  I'll supply the files and CAD drawings to the winner so you can make them if you want.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
