The 1952 Olds recording was made very early in the production of the recording Trumpets. The sound is brighter than the later Fullerton recordings, slotting, valves and feel are excellent as well as the compression. This horn has the original lacquer with some natural darkening as well as a few spots where the lacquer has worn off (See pictures). There are no red rot concerns and compression and valves are in top original shape. The case itself has both latches working and shows only some signs of wear (see pictures) The original case is actually harder to find than the trumpet these days , especially in this shape. Those that know about these horns remember the bell and lead pipe are a red (Re-O-Loy) brass. It is a tri-colored trumpet  with other parts being regular Brass and Nickel plate. The Horn has a balanced valve section that is closer to the bell than the standard Trumpet and has the famous offset middle valve that ,makes these Trumpets feel so good in the player's hand. It has no 1st slide throw nor does it need one and it has the typical 3rd slide trigger that works well. All slides pull easy and this horn is play ready. Comes with Olds 3 Mouthpiece silver plated and in mint shape.
