Vintage 1980s MIJ Flying V Guitar 2 Pick Up Faded White Neck Through Teisco Ibanez Greco With no name brand on the headstock, this vintage 1980's copy is definitely not a pedigreed example of a Flying V... more like a mutt. But sometimes mutts are more dangerous than their pure bred cousins... and this 1980's Flying Lawsuit definitely fits the bill. This guitar has been through the ringer, with numerous battle scars to show for the journey. But underneath the cosmetic dings and chipped finish, there lies the soul of a rock n' roll death machine.This Flying V features a fat 50's style neck, a 3-position pickup selector switch, and a coil tap switch. The generic (no name) humbucker in the bridge has a snarling chunky 80's bite, and a BC Rich humbucker in the neck position supplies smooth creamy distorted tones. The body and set neck seem to be made from Mahogany. Plug it in and stand back, because this axe has a meaty tone that is easily worth the price of admission. Genuine Flying V's sell for upwards of $1000, so they're tough to get for players on a budget. This Flying V copy is perfect for the player who wants a badass Flying V without breaking the bank to get it.
