Maton JB6This is a rare handmade Maton solid bodied guitar and these were made in Australia between1977 and 1983; and made from sassafras and walnut woods with a Queensland maple neck. Only 315were made in total with only 20 lefthanded models of which this is one; so a very rare guitar. The fingerboardis ebony and contains twenty-four frets all in a very good condition. The headstock shows the Maton logo and the tuners are the excellent Schallers. The pickups I believe areSeymour Duncan and there are two tone controls and one overall volume control plus a three-way pickupselector switch mounted within the black scratchplate - also a coil tap switch and in/out phase switch for thebridge pickup. The bridge is a tune-o-matic and the tailpiece, a stopbar. This is a lovely player which shows knocks and bumps  all round the bottom of the body but it looksgreat and is presently set up for a righthanded player.
