Hofner Committee thinline brunette.This is a lovely guitar made in Germany in 1965; it has an eighteen inch lower bout, a brunettefinish and pearloid binding on the body with binding on the soundholes, neck and headstock. It hastwo ''staple'' pickups with volume and tone controls and a three-way slider which is the pickup selectorswitch. The bridge is wooden, adjustable and contains moveable metal strips which are used to alterthe intonation; and the tailpiece is a very nice model and stamped ''Hofner''.The neck is very comfortable to use and the fingerboard has twenty-two frets with beautiful flowerinlays; and stem and leaf inlays on the headstock. The three on a side tuners are all totally original.The condition of this beautiful guitar is extremely good and there are very few marks at all. There is a mark near to the pickup slider (see picture) which is nothing major. The headstock has had a repair at sometime in the past - a very good professionally carried out repair which is very stable - see last picture.This is a very rare Committee in a good playing condition and very hard to find.
