Gibson Les Paul Standard 1996 - Cherry Sunburst + additional 1960 Scratch Plate This is my personal guitar which I have owned from new. It comes in the original Gibson hard case with the importers inspection card, card with explanation about the case lock and the additional scratch plate with the 1960 on it.I have gigged this guitar but it was not the main guitar so really shows little signs of wear for a 20 year old instrument.Condition:
On the whole this guitar is in very good condition, however it is not perfect. There are the inevitable marks and small indentations that happen when an instrument it used. On the main body there is only one small mark that has broken the lacquer about 2mm round and a similar one on the neck which is across the top where it would not normally be felt while playing. There may be others but I didn't spot any really obvious ones as I looked it over.
Otherwise any marks are indentions caused by a loose cable end, or on the back caused by rubbing against a button maybe.
The very top of the headstock has a few marks are you would expect and I tried to make these obvious in the pictures.
The finger board is in good shape. As I said I didn't play it that much and so the usual finger nail marks are not present just fret board polishing cashed by ends of fingers. As a result the frets themselves are also fine. The case is in good condition but does have one obvious area of wear near the rear hinge. Other wise the care as some general ware around the edges as you would expect. (Helps for that vintage look)I am selling this as an auction starting below the prices I have seen usually listed on e-bay to get things going.I've added £50 as shipping cost as I will not ship it without insurance (the maxim allowed is £1000 cover. In fact the total shipping will come to around £70 so I am subsidising the insurance part of the shipping costs.I am very happy for collection if you wish, and if you live near by I(or like driving) and want to inspect before buying your welcome.Any question or want close up photos of any particular area please let me know.
