Brand new, packaged 2016 Gibson SG faded red cherry electric guitar.Gibson's SG has been good since it first arrived as the replacement for the original single-cutaway Les Paul in 1961. The 2016 SG Faded T uses the same supreme tonewood species as its predecessor of nearly 50 years ago, carreis the same rock-solid, time-tested hardware complement as the legendary SGs of the '60s, is powered by a pair of genuine Alnico humbucking pickups, and of course offers all the unbridled playability that has made Gibson famous. To top it all off, it has a no-nonsense appearance that countless guitarists perfer, and its genuine nitrocellulose satin finish sports the gently worn look that Gibson's Faded series is known for. Along with other guitars in Gibson USA's 2016 Traditional series the SG Faded has our original width of 1 11/16 inches at the nut, historic neck heel shape, standard high-quality manual tuners.
