Gretsch 6161 Amp in good condition. Similar to model featured in the Premiere Issue of Vintage Gallery Collectible Guitars and Amps. (April 1994). We have researched the unit and our best determination is that this amplifier was built in 1960. Age is based on the serial number. This amplifier is a collectors dream! The wraparound grille is in excellent condition, all knobs are original, the fabric covering has no holes, just very slight wear marks where the color is faded. Unit is missing handle, but no damage where handle was originally. (See picture above.) However, there is some rust on the top edge by the knobs. Everything works. Recently had local shop complete all necessary repairs to make amp fully operational (see picture above).
