Description

This Crook telecaster is one of a kind tele. The guitar was made over decade ago by Bill as a special one time project. It has the Fender style headstock and a period correct after market F***** logo on the headstock. The logo was added after Bill had delivered the guitar. The relic job is amazing. I upgraded electronics & pickups few years ago. Plenty of fret life left and was just professionally setup w 10s. He commissioned Bill Crook to build it for him. His last name is on the neck in the pocket. The neck is attached like Danny Gatton and Bill Kirchen preferred. It's attached to the body with flat head machine bolts that thread into steel inserts in the neck. That method is not real well known except to guitar geeks (Fender uses wood screws). It ensures a very tight neck to body contact for maximum sustain and allows for making travel easier. It is not a factory or typical building technique; it's a specialty method used by Bill and a few others.
