Friday sale for the watchers out there.....! Make an offer..please, needs to go to a new home! Unique item here….I bought this for some reason about 5+ years back and like many guitars, hung it on the wall…maybe plunked 30 minutes or so, I am a drummer/bass player! Plastic is still on the guard. Just gave it a wipe/clean and a once over, not seeing a single blemish, etc...rare and solid telecaster for less than fender American for a better more versatile guitar. New list was 2499....to give you an idea of what Hohner thought of it!I am linking some info here on this guitar, please note this is in fact the Czech model. I purchased new. Iwill leave the reader up to the connection to Prince/the Artist. It sounds like a misfire on the endorsement/marketing on Hohner, and I don't know that there is any real legitimate connection or just an attempt to capitalize. I have the original case, but it is more of alligator skin type hard-shell case in the pictures, black lining cool case. think the black guitar was a bit more appealing and not as specific a look, to the one that was intended to look more like Prince's leopard/yellow, .also the black/white rope binding is terrific on this one....from Hohner. Just an awesome tele..and with fender prices up continually, this is a great alternative. I have a mike stern Pacifica 1511ms, and this is every bit as solid...maybe more so.HOHNER THE BLACK PRINCEStunning looking, playing and sounding guitar, super versatile and top quality. HSS pickup configuration and five-way switch gives lots of fantasic tones. [Hohner Designed by Staufer guitars are custom precision instruments developed by Hohner in collaboration with André Waldenmaier, the founder of Staufer Guitars in Germany.]The Black Prince comes in glossy black, with a beautiful unique all wood body binding (The binding is handcrafted in Germany, made out of black-and-white wood (ebony and maple)) and features a VSVG Wilkinson tremolo system by Gotoh and a custom pickup configuration consisting of two Staufer Blues single coils and a Staufer hot humbucker (Designed by STAUFER, Made in Germany by reknowned pickup designer Harry Häussel). The Black Prince is equipped with Schaller M6 locking tuner machine heads.Info from the Hohner site, /index.php?1718This guitar is in excellent condition with barely a mark on it, still has the plastic on the scratchplate and just a couple of the usual lacquer cracks in the neck pocket.On other forums there is a bit more to the history of this guitar. Here is what I do know, this is a rock solid telecaster guitar with a range of sounds - made from high quality components..you definitely will not see anyone with this one and they appear to have been scarcely produced. Buy it to play or display and you will be pleased!There is a YouTube video as well laney amps..plus this guitar.
