Vintage Selmer Paris Flugelhorn This is a rare and unique flugel, as I've only seen a few over the years. They don't pop up too often. Chet Baker played a similar Selmer flugel in the 60's. The French made flugels, such as Couesnon, Selmer, Besson, and Courtois are said to have the purest flugelhorn sound. This one is warm, light and airy, and is really fun to play. Here are the details:-Serial# 1,xxx; made in Paris, France.Cosmetics: Very nice overall. Original lacquer is about 80%, with some wear mainly on the bell.  There are 2-3 tiny dings, and a 2 marks on the bell flare where a minor dent was removed. The horn is very straight and true, and looks really sharp. Mechanics: Excellent. Fast valves with great compression and a nice short stroke. All slides move properly.- Original Selmer case included, with case key.
