This Paul Reed Smith is an exquisite example of just what PRS is capable of all across their product line as the guitar is on a whole other level. This guitar was purchased with the assistance of Paul Reed Smith himself in a private showcase where he assembled he best of the best to showcase and sell to a private audience. I've played many Custom 22/24, 10-Top's and even a 513 10-Top and this guitar is truly in another league. Not only is the fit and finish what you'd expect from a "Private Stock" caliber instrument but so is the playability and tone. I've yet to find another guitar of any maker that resonates and sustains like this one does. In the private showcase Paul did a handful of demos, one of which included a custom tailored whammy bar bending. Included with the auction is the stock whammy bar, the whammy bar Paul himself bent as well as a "blank" which he sent along for the owner to bend himself. Also included in the auction is of course the original hardshell case, all the case candy and documentation and last but not least a backplate signed by the man himself on the day of the event. The guitar has a Mahogany body with maple cap top, a "Pattern Regular" Mahogany neck with rosewood board set up but the standard pickups were swapped by PRS for an HFS treble (bridge) and Vintage bass (neck) pickups.
