Hi there guysFor sale here is my extremely rare 1993 Fender Stratocaster USA Special Edition in Burgundy Mist.Fender only released 400 of these back in 93 and was made to be a custom shop quality guitar for slightly cheaper- these used to retail at £1069 (in 93!!) which is crazy as the Strat Plus Deluxe were £695 at the time. A lot of this expense is the fact that Fender 24ct gold plated all the hardware 100 microns thick (for comparison heavy gold plating is 2.5 microns thick!) and due to the limited nature of these instruments they priced a premium to the nth degree! It's a truly wonderful guitar and is in excellent condition, the hardware has faded a bit but the body, neck and frets are all in great nick. It's had its electronics replaced/upgraded with an original '98 Fender Noiseless fully loaded pick guard with CTS style pots, treble bleed and Fender 5 way switch. These pickups sound amazing and are really well balanced - my guitarist has these on two of his Strats and he swears by them. It will be set up to order, I'm a qualified guitar tech so send me your preferences and I can set up to suit- I generally set up with 5 thou" relief and 4/64-3-64th" action at the 17th fret providing low buzz free action with the correct fretwork employed if necessary. Overall it's an awesome instrument and looks classy as with the gold hardware, mint green/aged white plastics which complement the Burgundy Mist finish excellently.
