Up for sale, a 2015 Taylor K26ce solid koa Grand Symphony acoustic electric guitar in exceptional, near mint condition and in perfect working order. With a gloss edgeburst finish and incredible flame figuring on the back and sides, this all koa powerhouse has the detailed and complex sound associated with this famed Hawaiian tone wood. The low end blooms, and there's a sweet percussive attack to this body size and construction. The K26ce's voice is bright and focused, with warm overtones that slowly emerge, adding sweetness and depth. Premium all-wood appointments, led by the Island Vine fretboard inlay, celebrate the wood’s natural appeal. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Taylor K26ce is strung with steel 12-53 strings and dialed in with low, comfortable action.The mahogany neck features a soft V profile that rounds out to a medium C shape as you move into the higher registers of the fretboard. The slab ebony fretboard has slender vintage-style fretwire on the 25 1/2" scale length, and the frets are virtually flawless, with no notable wear. The nut measures 1 3/4" in width and the headstock features a gloss ebony bound headstock veneer as well as Island Vine inlay that mirrors the vines that extend the length of the fretboard. The gold Taylor-branded Schaller tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch well with flawless gold plating.The body includes Taylor's E2 Expression System which has a three-section proprietary pickup located behind the saddle. Because of where it's positioned and how it's integrated into the guitar's saddle, the ES2 pickup provides you with remarkably clear and accurate sound. In addition to a master volume control, a pair of tone controls let you tweak your highs and lows to get the sound you need, and a discreet phase switch offers vital onboard feedback suppression.Cosmetically, this guitar is showroom clean and we can't find a scratch on it, although we'll conservatively call it "near mint." The grain is prominent and wide on the koa top, with more subtle flame figuring on the sides and prominent curls of figuring on the bookmatched koa back. Exceptionally well kept since new, you won't find a cleaner K26ce on the market for a competitive used price!
