Product Description Epiphone proudly presents the new Ltd. Ed. ES-295 Premium, one of the most iconic guitars in rock history now in three unique color finishes--Metallic Gold, Walnut, and Wine Red and featuring Gibson® USA Dogear P-90 pickups. The original ES-295 archtop was first introduced in 1952 as a hollow body companion to the new Goldtop Les Paul, which was then catching on across the country. That '52 ES-295 full body archtop originally came in a stunning Metallic Gold finish, cream P-90 "dogear" style pickups, and an ornate pickguard that was easily recognized on stage. But the ES-295 really caught on when Scotty Moore, a 20-year old guitarist from Memphis, accompanied Elvis Presley on his first nationally televised appearances in 1956. From then on, the ES-295 was--for many kids discovering rock n' roll--the ultimate electric guitar for stirring up trouble. With a tone that could be biting one minute and smooth the next, the ES-295 was the one "box" a pro could take to any show or any session and make an impression. Now Epiphone--the original House of Stathopoulo and every hardcore guitarist's favorite archtop maker--brings you the new Ltd. Ed. ES-295 Premium powered by the same original Gibson® USA Dogear P-90 pickups and available for a limited time only at Select Epiphone Dealers. New Retail Price = $999 Our Price = $899 (save $100!!) What was refurbished on this guitar: When this guitar came in from the factory, the only issue found by the authorized refurbisher was a minor finish flaw at the heel joint (see photo). No repairs or modifications were made to the guitar - they simply gave it a set-up and left it alone. Aside from the minor cosmetic flaw, it looks and plays like new. Back of the headstock is stamped "2nd" and original serial # has been replaced with a new one.
