Hello, I'm selling one of our Presonus ADL 600. I've used just about every tube preamplifier made in recording classical music on location. Fred Forssell designs some of the best low-noise and accurate reproduction amplifiers and he designed these. For strings, brass and piano/percussion sounds we have found this design to work well. The sound has a holographic quality I've not found in others until you get into much more expensive amplifiers.We use strictly NOS American and European tubes. We use RCA for the 12at7 and Telefunken or Amperex for the 6922/ECC88. We test large lots of tubes and select only the lowest noise with best transconductance figures and matched gain triodes. This unit has 2 RCA, 1 Telefunken and 3 Amperex Bugle Boys. Installation date of tubes is within the last year, so these will typically last the life of the service of this unit, which has not left the building since receiving new tubes.
