Pickups:Neck: McNelly “Duckling” Tele Pick up (Open Nickel-Relic’d) This is for Tele players who have a thing for the wicked vibe of a Strat neck pickup. The rich deep lows to the clear and glassy chime is all there, but squeezed into a standard Tele size Bridge: McNelly “T-Bar Bridge”- (Nickel-Relic’d) These feature recessed adjustable poles and blend some of the tonal characteristics of a traditional soapbar P90 into a direct replacement for the Tele bridge. The tone is fatter and will more readily push the front end of your rig with higher output. For those who love to rock out on a tele, it adds some fun flavours! The guitar is a Model Titan style, swamp ash, with a four way switch.
Neck: Modern Maple neck with vintage Gotoh Nickel tuners. The tuners are a good fit and look for the guitar not mention they keep the guitar in tune even after sitting on stand or in a gig bag for any length of time. The neck has a modern C shaped profile radius of 9.5. The neck is super-fast and very versatile..Body and Color: Vintage Amber with Brown Tones
I asked John for a stained finish with a gray tint. He was able to nail this color for me and create a finish that very distinct. It is true artistry what was able to accomplish with it. The body is a 2 piece swamp ash. With the stained finish the swamp ash really allows for a unique and distinct wood pattern. The resonance from the guitar is very true and has very long sustain. I find myself being able to play the guitar with just my left hand. The clarity is superb.
