No cracks, beautiful 22 piece Brazilian Rosewood back with its Domed Spruce Soundboard, Ebony Fretboard-perfectly straight. This wonderful mandolin also retains its Original Bone Nut and Bone Saddle, as well as Tailpiece.This rare and historically important Mandolin has a clear resonance one can hear on the video. It has Martin Mandolin strings mounted on it.The gears are the same as found on Gibson A Model Mandolins.This comes with the original Bowl Back Mandolin case, the latch to close it still works.Above the Carl C. Anderson Label is the additional Handwritten ink label:

Samuel saw the Estudiantina Figaro ensemble from Spain directed by Classical guitarist Carlos Garcia Tolsa (the favorite student of virtuoso Julian Arcas) perform in San Francisco in 1880-1881. At that time Carlos had his 1st song published: "Lejos de Ti" (Far from You) by M. Gray in San Francisco.
