Open to International Bidders!! This No Reserve auction, is for a vintage 1969 Rogers model # 45-8385 " DYNA-SONIC" snare drum.This drum is identical to the model used by Buddy Rich during the 1960's.This drum has a factory installed Rogers " script" logo badge. The serial number on the "Dyna-Sonic Custom-Built " badge is 18178. According to the Rogers history website, this serial number indicates a manufacturing date of 1969. The all-wood shell measures 5" deep x 14" wide, and it is factory finished in a honey-colored natural maple finish on the inside. As you can see from my pictures, the wooden shell is in perfectly in round, and the bearing edges retain their original factory profile. This drum is factory wrapped in Rogers "white marine pearl", the pearloid wrap is beautifully preserved, and it has a light, minty green tint to the color.This drum is factory equipped with ten Rogers "Beavertail" lug casings, two Rogers triple-flanged steel hoops, 20 Rogers tension rods, a Rogers "Dyna-sonic" snare mechanism and matching butt assembly, and a Rogers internal muffler assembly. All of the metal parts are brilliantly plated in chrome. Proper Dyna-Sonic snare wires have been installed on this drum, and the original Rogers logo batter drum head is still mounted to the top of this drum..
