Bought this beauty brand new back in 2005 and she's been my prized guitar ever since. Hurts to sell, but I have to be honest with myself - I have too many guitars for a guy that's been in zero bands for the last several years. Finally starting to cope with my denial...I had Grover tuners put on professionally within weeks of purchasing the guitar. To me, they stayed in tune much better than the stock Gibson ones, plus I felt the gold hardware better matched the rest of the guitar. I also had strap locks installed on the same job ticket. Other than that, guitar is 100% stock. This is a Standard Plus model in Wine Red finish. The wood grains are absolutely beautiful. Cosmetically, this looks exactly like you'd expect a guitar to look that was enjoyed/played a lot, but otherwise taken very good care of. There is some belt rash on the back, which I show in one of the pictures, but nothing goes through to the bare wood. It's all superficial. Additionally, there is a small dent/ding on the corner head stock, which I also show in the pictures. This doesn't adversely affect anything, again, just superficial. There's also wear on the bridge/saddles from my sweaty hands that has taken some of the gold off over the years, but none of the metal is damaged/corroded. Again - superficial. I'm just being overly nit-picky since anybody buying a Les Paul wants to know every little detail ahead of time before dropping that kind of cash. Included with purchase will be the original hard shell Gibson case with built-in combination lock. I will also include a Deluxe Gibson leather strap fitted with strap locks. Happy bidding.
