VINTAGE 1973 GIBSON L6-S NATURAL FINISH SIGNED BY OZZY OSBOURNE & TOURING BAND

What makes this guitar special: While there isn’t any provenance to the signatures on this one, the unique combination of band members make forgery doubtful. The signatures appear to be from Ozzy and his touring band from late ’95, signed by Ozzy & former Black Sabbath bass player Geezer Butler behind the tailpiece, guitarist Joe Holmes above the bridge, and drummer Randy Castillo on the pickguard. This would date to just after the release of the Ozzmosis album, and shortly after Zakk Wylde’s 6-year departure from the band.Beyond the signatures, you’ve got an extremely underrated vintage Gibson, and in this case, a first year model of the L6-S. The pickups were upgraded at some point to Burstbucker Pro II’s, which make the Chicken-Head switching that much more versatile, with crisp and full tones that shine through and work well in just about any genre. It’s been professionally inspected and set up by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play right out of the case.Cosmetic condition: This one has seen some playing, and shows some wear and tear throughout. There are various nicks, dings, chips, dents, scuffs, and scratches throughout the guitar with visible weather checking, minor oxidation on the hardware, and some notable finish damage along the bottom edge of the body. There are chips on two corners of the pickguard, finish wear along the edges of the fingerboard, and frets show some light to moderate wear, but still have a great deal of life left in them. Nut appears to be a replacement as well, and there is some visible "hanger rash" on the underside of the headstock.Body: Solid 3-piece maple body with black pickguard, adjustable bridge, and stopbar tailpiece.Weight: 8 lb, 0.6 ozNeck: Nicely rounded 3-piece maple neck with black side dots and aged mother-of-pearl dot inlays. 1 9/16” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Black headstock overlay with silk-screened gold Gibson logo and Grover tuners in perfect working condition. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional.Electronics: Contemporary Gibson USA Burstbucker Pro II humbuckers with 6-way Chicken-Head rotary switch and black speed knobs, 2x tone, 1x volume.Case: Unoriginal, vintage Kramer case included. Case is in good shape overall, but the handle is missing.
