Yamaha Super Flighter SF-500 (1978, Oil Stain)The first in the Super Flighter series made in Japan by Yamaha from 1977 to 1980, these guitars are sought after by many people worldwide. The guitar has a twin octave, 24-fret bolt on neck into a solid  body, well crafted and well balanced. It has two powerful aftermarket hum-bucker pickups each with independent volume and tone controls, however the SF500 doesn’t feature the coil-tap option like the SF-1000 does. Good quality chrome hardware and tuners, versatile and solid, and accurate. The oil stain is a great finish and shows up gorgeously in bright light, showing the underlying maho wood. Pickguard missingThe guitar sustain is amazing, even for a bolt on neck. Being over 38 years old, the guitar is fairly clean and has some genuine play wear marks to show for. This guitar is a brilliantly kitted out for a mix of blues/classic rock playing, rhythm and lead. The low action makes even for a good shredder, easy and accurate. Comes with gig bag.
