This pre-amp has discrete circuits for instrument, line, and microphone.
The line and microphone input, and the line output are transformer balanced with separate transformers that are optimized for that specific signal.
80 dB gain on microphone (clean and quiet)
-20 to +10 dB gain on line input
mic input has switchable impedance (1200 or 300 ohms) so you can change the sound of the mic
phantom power and phase reverse switches
high impedance input for guitar, bass, sound module etc
Comes with manual, original box, power cord, and unit. Everything that came with the Pre-73 when I bought it in 2012.
EQ-73
Class A circuitry (modeled on a Neve 1073)
Mid band has two inductors (160 Hz and 240 Hz) so that the mid band has the best response
20 Hz to 24 Hz
Low and High are shelf type EQ
Mid frequency is bell type (plus or minus +15/ -15 for two lower bands, and +18/-18 for high frequency band).
All three bands have bypass switches
Engineered to be used with Pre-73 with insert jack (insert cable included)
Exterior power supply, manual, insert cable, original box.

I am selling all three Golden Age Project units at a discount. They all will ship in one big box, but each unit will be in its original box with everything that came with the original piece of gear. All the units are in excellent condition, with a few very minor scratches from moving them in the rack. The EQ unit has velcro on the bottom.If they don't sell as a unit, then I will sell them individually. I know this is a lot of money up front, but you get a complete signal chain that is smooth, musical, pristine, and designed to work together as a unit. It can save you money in the long run and give you an outstanding signal chain that is upgradable. Compared to my expensive gear the Golden Age Projects sound very warm, smooth and musical. They aren't as clinical and dry and the high end stuff I own. If you play acoustic guitar these units are magic. Beautiful, super easy to use, very intuitive.
