beautiful new handcarved f style mandolin by brian Edward burgess in glasgow kentucky
Husband built wife's finish.
beautiful antique American chestnut from 1870 body .was original flooring in our cabin here. come and pick this mandolin so its first play can be inside the cabin it came from.with a few repaired wormholes and patina.
This 200 year old wood is not likely to ever shrink anymore. Very stable. Would work well if you live in dry harsh climate . American chestnut retains it's strength with age and very rotten resistant. The settlers knew this.
Fine tap tune construction. Rings very well. Good sustain. Very mature tone. Our instruments are known for a woody tone. We use wood as binding not plastic.
Light but strong.Built to last. Pinned neck block. Fully lined and block. 3/8 hardened steel fixed reinforced neck.
Satin lacquer body. Hand rubbed polished shiny lacquer top.
Walnut fretboard. With inlaid maple fret markers.
Real bone 1 1/8 nut. Adjustable rosewood bridge.
