1970 1971 Fender Jazz Bass with OHSC...All Original and Super Clean

This is a 1970 or (most likely) a 1971 Fender Jazz bass. It is absolutely the cleanest instrument from this era I have personally ever seen. It is all original in every way, and even has the original case key! Ok..the nitty gritty...Yes, it is original in every single way..every screw...all of the pots date to the 51st week of 1970...and it weighs in at 8.6 pounds.Clearly the guitar and the case are in outstanding condition. The tuners have some oxidation that will come off if you choose to polish them...no pitting...and there are a few swirls here and there on the body...the biggest "issue" is that there is some paint cracking around the neck plate (see pictures)...there is absolutely 0 fret wear and the frets are freshly polished. Both pickups are strong and there is no scratchiness when turning the pots..Both pickup covers are included (they are almost perfect), and the original foam is still intact underneath the bridge pickup cover. The guitar is setup nicely and plays well, although it could use a new set of strings...and of course, it sounds just like a vintage Fender Jazz should!This guitar is really something to see...the neck is completely unfaded as is the sunburst finish...This bass, literally, was never played and lived in the case..no dings or scratches anywhere on the neck.Like I said earlier, I have never seen a 45 year old guitar, this immaculate...It really is a little freaky. I mean, it has the case key!!
