14x8 1997 Brady Jarrah snare drum with hand turned jarrah lugs. Made by the wonderful custom drummer maker, Chris Brady, now retired. This is an exceptionally rare drum, I've only seen 2 ever, this one and one on pinterest. Bought this a few years ago, and have only played a handful of times, only ever in the studio. Surprisingly light drum. I have listed this before though pulled the sale as I was unsure I really wanted to sell it. it is a wonderful drum, very rare and quite unique.
NOTE: when I received this drum a few years ago, I noticed one of the lugs had a bit of wood missing from the snare side (due to overtightening). I have tried my best to photograph this. 1 photo has normal lug, the other the "broken lug" to show how much the insides have moved. it hasn't changed since I've owned it (a good 5 or so years).. The inside of the lug is metal so still grips as it should. I had spoken to Chris back in the day and he said it was repairable and due to the nature of wooden lugs, it wasn't unlikely to happen if overtightened. I also spoke with the repairer of instruments at the royal barracks and he said it could be easily repaired should you wish to do so. though I haven't gotten round to doing it. just wanting to be open and honest about the drum.
