- a 1500 - 2000 dollar everyday les Paul, some nicks and dings ok, mainly not a lot of time on it.

It's a smooth instrument, a beautiful guitar, easy to play, no notes drop out, the chords are clear, just a gorgeous instrument made with a lot of precision.
This one has a phenomenally beautiful AAAAA ( Gibson's words ) Quilted Maple top. Sort of "cloud-like" when you look into it. Just an entrancing piece of art. Part of this is they are finished in the Lacquers of the 1950's ( once again, this is from the custom shop ) . This one is just beginning to show the "aged" appearance ( which is the result of the Nitro Cellulose lacquer of the 1950's ). There are not many of these around. Gibson guitars has no record of how many of these have been created. You can order a new one, about a year's wait and around 15,000 dollars.
...........That's why the finish looks like a Les Paul made in that era, such as the incredible depth of the quilted Maple top. . ..and the yellow gold that covers all the metal pieces of the guitar. . .at 19 years old, it's beginning to show the "patina" of a guitar made in the 1950's. . .. . .. . .. . ..They are interesting instruments, in that they are a strange juxtaposition of things that don't normally occur on the same guitar. Highly ornate ( similar to the old Gibson Mandolins of a hundred years ago, the Ebony fretboard (solid dense wood for better sustain). The intricate "sparkling" binding, The gorgeous Abalone inlay ( this one has the "Harp " design ) on the fretboard.
The 1957 P.A.F. Humbucking pickups. the powerful yet clean pickups that made the Les Pauls of the 1957 and up guitars famous......1960 Les Paul neck.........

guitar case with the original Gold Gibson " Custom Art And Historic" logo on the
lid and the plush burgundy interior.
These cases are made by TKL and the quality is unsurpassed. Like any 15 to 20 year old case this one is not perfect but it's in great shape for a case this old. All of the hardware is intact including the hasps and hinges as well as the handle and everything works fine. The small metal feet on the bottom are also intact as well as the accessory pocket.
The inside of the case is super clean and it's in great shape. The small accessory pocket (to store your picks capo strap and strings etc) is fully intact and it also works fine. There's a lock on one of
the hasps to secure your guitar while it's being stored or transported. The key for the lock is also included.
