This guitar includes the original case. It is in beautiful shape. There are no marks or issues with the outside of the guitar. It was well cared for by a loving owner. It does need new strings. This Taylor guitar has a beautiful melodious sound. The top is Sitka spruce and the sides and back are mahogany.
Taylor's 500 series is distinguished by solid Mahogany back and sides with an Engelmann Spruce top and higher end appointments, such as abalone inlays and rosettes with bound bodies and fingerboards.
The Taylor 512ce is the cutaway electronic-equipped version of the discontinued 512 Grand Concert. It featured a Fishman Onboard Blender system up until 2004, when the electronics were changed to Taylor's own Expression System.
The mid-2000s also saw a change to diamond abalone inlays and rosette, replacing the former dot inlays and wood rosette.
