Up for sale is this 1930's Vega Little Wonder 4 String Resonator Banjo with Case. Please view all photos & description before you buy.(Thank You) Serial Number: 91517 from 1930 Condition:
This banjo is 87 years old and has signs of age and wear. There is crazing in the varnish on the resonator as well as some scratches and scrapes. One side of the stripping on the side of the neck needs to be glued back down. The fingerboard has a small chip near where it meets the tension hoop which has a small scuff in the metal. The Vega star on the peghead has discolored slightly and is chipping. Features: Early pie section Vega-branded resonator and armrest. The tuners are marked 'Grover Pat' and tail piece is marked 'Grover Patent Presto'. The head is made of skin and marked 'Jos Rogers Jr.' like many 1930's Vega banjos are leading me to believe this was the original head. includes Vega branded wrench keys includes Elton brand banjo mute 19 frets Approximate Measurements:
13 1/2" inch diameter resonator
11 1/2" inch diameter skin
21 1/2" inch neck and head
