Here is a very rare 1972 Gretsch "Deluxe Chet" hollow body guitar. It is the brother to the "Super Chet" but with the practical features such as a Bigsby vibrato and a standard Gretsch control layout. It has been refretted, setup with the bridge pinned and it stays in tune very well. It's a 17" body but with a shorter 24.5" scale length which makes it feel very comfortable to play. The neck is beautiful and thin.Condition is good for a guitar of this vintage and the case is good condition too although the handle has seen better days. Also included is all the original paperwork including the OK card which is signed by Dean Porter who was the man Chet Atkins personally got look after quality control in the factory. The guitar has a label inside bearing Chet Atkins hand written signature which is a nice bonus.Guitar is made in the USA.It is a rare model only made between 1972 and 1974 and I have never seen another in this walnut finish (they are usually red)Schaller straplocks are fitted and a quality leather strap is included.Own a piece of Gretsch history!Free shipping Australia wide!
