Description
Klemt Echolette S, Model NG-51A 1960 (?)Serial number 28xxxNear Mint ConditionSorry for any inconvenience guys, I almost got robbed by a Nigerian guy who sent me a fake Ebay message stated "Ebay account restored" after Ebay canceled the transaction for security purpose... Remember, an e-mail that start with Dear Seller or Dear Buyer is NOT From Ebay... So... let's try again from the very top: Up for sale in one the most sought after vintage tape echo/Tube Pre-Amp, the Klemt Echolette S. I found myself playing with the unit for 2 hours with a Fender Jazzmaster 1961 (soon available on Ebay), and I'm not even a guitar player! I never heard a unit so inspiring, it is difficult for me to find the good words to describe what I heard and felt... As I said, I'm not a guitar player, but I know when I have something amazing between my hands... If you never heard about this effect, there is plenty of information and reviews about the Echolette on the net. I tested the whole unit, and everything is working perfectly well. The only thing I noticed was when I tested the Input 2 and 3, I had to play with the jack a little to have a stable connection. After a couple of insert-and-remove, the jack was working great. It might have to be cleaned, but I did not cleaned anything whatsoever. I strongly suggest to let professionnal technicians deal with that. All the pots are working and are not noisy at all! Which was very surprising because everything is all original inside and obviously never been repaired, except, of course, the tape inside.I have a couple of tape loop ready to be used, and three small tape boxes : Ampex 911 (about 60 feet left), DeJUR for Stenorette dictating machine (30 min left) and a quite rare AMERICAN MAIL-A-TAPE Acetate tape, 350 feet left. I'm curious to see the sound difference between the Acetate tape and the more common polyester, but I don't have the time to experiment. Also, I have the original AC connector, and two 3 pin DIN to 1/4 inch Jack that comes with this auction.E-mail me for any infos and questions...Please, new ebayers, contact me first prior to bid Happy Bidding!
