Description
Brand: Ovation Exact Year: 1968

As far as I can tell they only built about 200 Hurricanes for maybe one year, 1968 into about the middle of 1969. But by the time Ovation came out with the Hurricane the 12-string craze had peaked and the jangle of folk-rock was soon to give way to distorted 6-string blues. Ovation stopped production of the Hurricane... This 1968 Ovation Hurricane XII is wicked cool with the typical heavy checking you will see on most of the Electric Storm Series guitars. This is one of the best looking Hurricanes I have ever seen.  All original except the truss rod cover. Electronics are all original and work flawlessly. A dozen original Kluson Deluxe tuning machines, six to a side... Action is medium-low and the bridge can take it down even lower. The neck has a moderately slim profile that is easy to play. The hole that you can see under the serial number is the access to adjust the neck angle, much like Fenders Micro-Tilt... Specs follow...
