Firstly, this EP is an incredibly rare item and I humbly ask you to read this listing thoroughly. I'm helping a friend needing to liquidate gear and sell his prized 1964 EP-1 Echoplex. It's a time capsule and if you need the absolute best of the best in an EP-1 this is it! I have seen many EP's, all the years/models and conditions. I have a good track record with repairs. I've seen them arrive a train wreck from no servicing. It's common to show minor-medium wear. At very rare times I come across a magnificent Echoplex that's exceptionally well kept, operate. Even better for the buy of this EP-1. It still has and includes factory accessories that were purchased long ago with the echo at initial time of sale. Need I say more. This EP-1 was built 1964, (the only year of production for Market Electronics (ME). The EP-1 green/gray box served as ME's tool for entry into tape echo market. EP's endured. The last units were made past 1980. Good track record. This EP's history includes hands on attention on at least two occasions by the late Mike Battle; the INVENTOR OF THE ECHOPLEX (both when building in 1964 and when he serviced it decades later and provided personal service note documentation.,..this will be included in sale. I recently serviced this in my shop with nothing to spare during the overhaul. This runs perfect and provides the poster child EP-1 sound. Again, It's Gig/Studio/Road/Museum ready. One would be hard pressed to find any model Echoplex in this condition that includes the correct vintage accessories/schwag. It's immaculate. Included with this listing include: vintage metal trapeze cartridge and it's box, a Dunlop cartridge, both AC and output cable are original, handle, metal transport and all hardware intact, both housing lid and bottom have matching numbers, All major components intact, uber rare vinyl cover that I've never seen on an EP-1 until now, correct thumb screws and service notes from when the late Mike Battle serviced this later on.
